A bit more about Freehand:

“Freehand Brewing & Blending—informed by tradition, dedicated to the present, and inspired from one batch to the next.

Founded in 2018, we are a small, Saison-centric brewery that strongly emphasizes local ingredients, brews with the seasons, and barrel ages and blends.

Freehand was a long and meandering daydream of ours that sprung into reality in the summer of 2017 when the right place and right time coincided.  The brewery is based out of a former pottery studio in the wooded South Hills of Eugene, proudly charting the course as the city’s first residentially-based production brewery.

We brew in small batches (usually 3.5 BBL), and our ales carry forward the creativity of the unique space in which they are brewed. While our brewing standards are high, we don’t brew many standard styles.  Our goal is to provide you with a creative new take on the diverse “farmhouse” approach to brewing and blending, using as many local and organic ingredients as we can.  Occasionally you’ll find us collaborating, foraging, partnering with local farmers and instigating to brew one-off creations as well.”
