Monday, Oct. 22nd,(Doors at 5:30): One of the most polarizing divisions in our lifetimes’ national political landscape is coming to a head over the next several weeks and these televised debates have the rapt attention of millions… So why watch at home when you could watch on the big screen with a room full of other opinionated people and a great selection of craft beer?
This election season’s last Presidential Debate will be shown in the beautifully remodeled Bad Habit Room, where fine craft beer will be flowing and the gloves will come off in this showdown between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney. As an appropriately local touch, we’ll be featuring tall boy cans of Portland’s own Coalition Brewing “Wheat the People” American Wheat Ale in addition to draught options both nights.
Doors to the Bad Habit Room will open to attendees at 5:30, so please feel free to grab a pint and some food in Saraveza beforehand to ensure a good seat. See you there.

Saturday, October 20th: Ah, those precious years ago… the first steps of our baby. You’ve been there with us all along, from the excitement of a regular Friday night when we were the newest craft beer joint in town, to our first collaborative brew with Breakside in honor of Sarah’s baby girl, Roxana, to the best Super Bowl Party of ALL TIME in 2011 (Go Pack!), to our annually decadent IIPA Fest and every great moment in-between. Now we take an evening to look forward to many more years of good times and great memories with all of us enjoying life together!
As per tradition, we’ll be having our Anniversary Russian River Consecration Toast at 10PM, this year given by our beloved beertender and very first employee, Tyler “The Elder” Vickers. Additionally, our tap list will be showcasing some special surprises for Saraveza’s family of friends, new and old!
Setting this year apart, we have our latest pride and joy… Bad Habit Room Private and Public Event Space. In addition to Saraveza’s birthday festivities this year, Bad Habit will have an open house from 5pm-10pm to celebrate it’s Grand Opening. Drop in before or after your Saraveza celebration to see the newly renovated Bad Habit and enjoy complementary appetizers. There will also be a vertical of ’09, ’10 & ’11 Consecration (available by the flight), ‘10 Hair of the Dog “Fred” and a selection of beers in the bottle. Our event coordinator, Mickey Pollizatto, will be available to speak with you about Bad Habit’s public events and how you can rent out Bad Habit for your next special occasion. Bad Habit Room is perfect for any beer lover looking to rent “A Private Tavern” for an evening.

Friday, October 12th, 6PM: If you’re not aware of Parkdale’s Solera Brewing Co, you should be. Jason Kahler (formerly of Hood River’s Big Horse Brewing) and John Hitt have spent the better part of the last year transforming the former Elliot Glacier Pub into the most buzz-worthy destination brewery in the area. We couldn’t recommend it more. Not only does it have the most majestic view of any brewpub this side of anywhere, but these fellas have transformed the pub itself into a must-stop for anyone cruising the local orchards’ “Fruit Loop” or coming off Mt. Hood from a day of fun and fresh pow. It just so happens these guys are making a special appearance at Saraveza this Friday to showcase two of their latest and greatest offerings for the thirsty Portland public and we can’t wait!
On tap:
• Solera Peche Bier- A tart refreshing sour wheat beer aged with fresh peaches. 4% ABV, 4 IBUs
• Kwazy Wabbit- Solera’s first IIPA and it’s Fresh Hopped! 9% ABV, ? IBUs
