In Northern Wisconsin, it’s an old tradition for churches and bars to help raise money for those in need by means of a meat raffle. Hunters and farmers donate meat to the charity and sometimes even a rifle. Saraveza is hosting its 2nd Annual Meat Raffle (sans rifle) on February 7th during half time of the Superbowl. All proceeds are going to Ethos Music Center for kids.
Participants can win meat, gift certificates and schwag from Laurelhurst Market, Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Meats, Nicky USA and Saraveza. Don’t eat the meat? Veggie raffle tickets are for the carnivores or for anyone who’d like to win a nice grill set, grilling aprons or lots of craft beer glassware, hats and other beer schwag.
Tickets can be purchased anytime at Saraveza from January 1st to February 7th. 1 for $1, 6 for $5 or 15 for $10.
