John Lovegrove’s Sierra Nevada Beer Camp “Blood Shot” Portland Beer Release at Saraveza
Monday, December 31, 2012
Sun Feb 17th 6pm-10pm John Lovegrove is the type of guy you want to have at your party. His desire for accomplishment borders between intrigue and absurdity (the good kind). John is known throughout the Portland area for going to 34 Brew pubs in one day in 2009 and then upping the anty to 50 breweries, beer bars and brewpubs in summer or 2012. These well documented accomplishments have received attention from Portland’s local weeklies as well as beer media.
Fellow Beer Camper Fletcher Beaudoin will also be present to show off their new brew. Aside from being Partnerships Director of the Institute for Sustainable Solutions at Portland State University he is quite the brewer, “a far better brewer than I could ever hope to be” says Lovegrove. See him in action here.
Sierra Nevada’s Beer Camp is a place where Sierra Nevada fans are invitited to the brewery for a week of in-depth, hands-on learning. Each camp challenges the brewers to make a new and unique beer. We’ll be pouring Lovegrove’s Beer Camp creation and getting his stories on what it is like to brew at one of the world’s best breweries.
We’ll be tapping John Lovegrove’s Beer Camp creation #94 Brew “Blood Shot” Imp. Red Ale.
