MOVIE NIGHT at the BAD HABIT: Prohibition’s “A Nation of Scofflaws”

Repeal Day at Saraveza's Bad HabitMON, DEC. 5TH is the 78th anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition in the United States.  Join us as we recognize this important date in our Bad Habit Room, looking, listening, learning and libating during Part Two of Ken Burns’ “Prohibition” documentary: A Nation of Scofflaws.

A Nation of Scofflaws deals heavily with the development of bootlegging operations, and much of the focus is on the Pacific Northwest, so we figured it’d make for a proper “distillation” of the three part documentary.

We’ll have a nice assortment of appropriate beverages on tap, like Russian River’s “Blind Pig” IPA (speakeasies were known as blind pigs), Carlton Cyderworks’ “Carry Nation” Hard Cider (Carry A. Nation was a most formidable temperance activist at the time), and a special surprise very much in line with the evening’s theme…

The show starts at 6PM and is just under two hours, so come early for the best seats, some food and drink from Saraveza, then we’ll all hunker down like the “scofflaws” we know we would’ve been in the late 1920’s before a flicker show.  See you there!
